Paul Catherall, BSc, MA, MSc, CCC-SLP, S-LP(C)
Paul Catherall is registered to practise as a Speech and Language Therapist in the UK, Canada and the United States, and has over 20 years of clinical experience. He has specialised in providing assessment and intervention services to meet the speech, language and communication needs of children in school and preschool settings. Throughout his career Paul has worked directly with the families of children with a range of speech, language and communication difficulties. He has led over 40 presentations at conferences and workshops on assessment and approaches to intervention which he has developed. Paul has also been a tutor and guest lecturer at several universities. His current interest is in assessing the language and communication needs of pupils with autism spectrum disorders.

Chris Nield, BSc, BA (Hons), PGCE, MEd (EdPsych), CPsychol, AFBPsS
Chris Nield is a Chartered Educational Psychologist with over 20 years’ experience in the field of mainstream and special education, as a teacher and an Educational Psychologist. She has worked for many years in both Local Authority Educational Psychology and as a staff member in residential special schools for children with speech, language and communication disorders, including autism spectrum conditions and has been trained in a range of autism-specific teaching approaches. Chris has a wide range of experience of the statutory processes for supporting children’s needs. Working on a daily basis with children with this range of difficulties has given her considerable experience of the implications for children, staff and families. Her current interest is in developing dynamic assessment approaches which are meaningful and relevant to pupils’ everyday lives.

Christine Galbraith, NZDip.OT, SIPT Cert.
Christine Galbraith is registered to practise as an Occupational Therapist in New Zealand and the UK. She has over 20 years’ clinical experience and has worked with adults and school aged children in a range of settings. She has spent the past 9 years establishing an Occupational Therapy Department in a specialist residential school for pupils with language and communication difficulties. Prior to this Christine worked with the Adult Learning Disability Service in South East London. She is a licensed trainer in ‘Lifeskills’ and is one of approximately 40 clinicians in the UK with a specialism in Sensory Integration, holding the ‘Sensory Integration and Praxis Testing’ (SIPT) certification since 1999, and completing the advanced Sound-Based Technologies training in 2004. Christine has led many workshops for parents and professionals on Sensory Integration. Her current clinical interests lie in the areas of autism spectrum disorders and in developing practice guidelines for working with pupils who have Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
